Cold wave conditions in most parts of northern India continue to play havoc with railway schedule, with several trains running late or being cancelled.
Foggy conditions in most parts of northern Indian plains have resulted in low visibility. This has caused as many as 28 late arrivals in New Delhi between Monday night and Tuesday early morning. Another three had to be diverted while 18 were cancelled.
Train delays due to fog has become a common occurrence in winter months and Indian Railways has long been promising to implement newer technologies to avoid such situations. Read More…
