Train services towards north Bengal and beyond were affected for more than three hours today after a goods train hit a stationary sand laden tractor at an unmanned rail-gate near Muraroi station in West Bengal’s Birbhum district.
The collision took place after the tractor was abandoned by the driver on the tracks following a technical snag of the heavy vehicle.
However, there had been no casualty in the accident which blocked the tracks towards Howrah and north Bengal districts and beyond. Read More…
