Domestic power consumers can now pay pending electricity bills in easy instalments in 12 and 24 months depending on whether they live in urban or rural areas.
Under the scheme, launched on Monday by Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL), domestic power consumers in urban areas with a load up to 4kw will be able to pay their dues in 12 months while all domestic users in rural areas can clear their dues in 24 months.
To avail the benefit, consumers will have to complete their registration by December 31.
