To meet the demand in peak summers, the UT electricity department is in talks with different power exchanges and states to purchase additional power.
A senior official of UT electricity department said that they have floated tenders for purchase of power in peak summers and also held meetings with representatives of power exchange. They are also in talks with Jammu and Kashmir, he added.
