Vikram Solar has opened a new office at Yan’an W Road HongQiao, Shanghai, China, to leverage the region’s technological talent pool for supporting the company’s growth strategy.
The new office will serve as the logistic and procurement hub for its business and boost its presence in China and the Asia Pacific region.
In addition to the corporate headquarters in West Bengal, and branch offices across India, the company has international offices in Germany, US, and Singapore.
“The decision to expand our presence into China is a step towards our business growth strategy.” said Mr Gyanesh Chaudhary, MD & CEO of Vikram Solar.
The company has recently reached the milestone of 1,000 mw capacity.
During FY 2016-17, the company earned revenues of Rs 1,700 crore, nearly double what it reported in the previous year.
Vikram Solar has tied up with Germany’s Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE, Meyer Burger and Centrotherm for technological cooperation.
