The observatory deck on top of the pylon of Signature Bridge, which promises to give a bird’s eye view of the city, is unlikely to be ready before May.
Senior DTTDC officials say the construction of the four-storey deck and glass façade, and installation of elevators are still on and will be complete by April 30. The agency will then conduct a few trial runs, which may take a few more days, and work out a plan on the number of tourists who could be taken upstairs at one go before opening it for the general public.
While inaugurating the bridge on November 4 last year, the Delhi government had fixed the deadline of January 31, 2019, to finish the work and open it for tourists by February. Read More
