Waste to energy conversion at Nashik Municipal Corporation’s (NMC) municipal solid waste management (MSW) plant is expected to start within two weeks. The power generated at this plant will be used for the working of the compost plant.
The project was earlier supposed to begin in December, 2016 and the German government’s nodal agency Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit’s (GIZ) is funding the project.
The NMC is doing the project in collaboration with the GIZ, and the civil works have been completed. Machinery is being installed and the project will be commissioned in two weeks. Once successful, it will be later emulated throughout the country. Read More…
