BS VI is around the corner. Is IOC ready?
We are getting geared up to supply BS VI specification fuel by April 2020. Most of the up-gradation should take place by the second half of 2019-20. Some refineries will have to undergo shutdown which is already planned. The shutdown should be around 30-60 days depending on the unit and the refinery.
We need the shutdown for installing new units. Most of the refineries will go through this short period of planned shutdown except one or two. We are spending around Rs 17,000 crore for upgrading the refineries to meet the BS VI standard norms. Read More
