Indian engineering and manufacturing group Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BOM:500103), or BHEL, said on Tuesday it has received an order to build a 15-MW solar park in Gujarat.
The engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract was awarded by domestic chemical manufacturing company Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd (BOM:530001). It envisages the installation of a solar plant within the Charanka Solar Park near the village of Charanka, which will host 500 MW of photovoltaic (PV) plants by various developers.
