Cabinet Reshuffle: 7 Reasons Why Dharmendra Pradhan Received A Pat On The Back From PM Modi

Oil minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who has been spearheading the crucial petroleum portfolio in the Modi government as Minister of State (with independent charge) for over three years since May 2014 has been promoted to the cabinet rank in the latest round of mega cabinet reshuffle.

“I congratulate my colleagues @dpradhanbjp, @PiyushGoyal, @nsitharaman and @naqvimukhtar on joining the Union Cabinet,” PM Modi has said in a tweet. Pradhan’s elevation appears in response to the major oil sector reforms undertaken in his tenure so far.
