The Kochi Metro services came to a brief halt on Sunday morning due to failure in power supply from Kalamassery substation. The Metro services stopped for about 15 minutes from 11.14am to 11.30am following the interruption.
“Though there was panic for a brief time, the services resumed soon,” said KMRL spokesperson.
“Snapping of conductors resulted in power failure. Metro depends mainly on power supply from Kalamassery substation,” said a senior KSEB engineer of Kalamassery substation.
The official said that the power was also being supplied to Metro from Kaloorsubstation. The official added that though they have taken some measures to plug powerinterruption, the major works were pending. Read More
