GE Energy Financial Services (GEEFS), part of US conglomerate General Electric (NYSE:GE) plans to co-develop a 500-MW solar project portfolio in India with domestic group RattanIndia, Mint reports.
The solar projects will be developed by RattanIndia and the GE subsidiary in a ratio of 51/49, with GEEFS investing some USD 90 million (EUR 79m) in the portfolio, Anjali Rattan, RattanIndia Solar’s CEO, said in a statement as cited by the business newspaper.
According to Rattan, the GE unit has already invested in 210 MW of projects within government solar parks in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka, as well as in RattanIndia-owned land at Katol in Maharashtra. Read More…
