This monsoon, the Goa-Mumbai journey by luxurious Tejas Express will be faster as the Konkan Railway has revised the departure time of the train from Karmali in the coastal state. The train will depart at 9 AM from Karmali instead of 7:30 AM and would reach Mumbai at 7:45 PM.
The new timings are only monsoon as the train runs at restricted speed while crossing difficult terrain in Konkan. Powered by new powerful diesel engine, the train can now run at the speed of 160 km/hr.
From June 11, the travel time was increased to 12 hours and 15 minutes but with the new engine the travel time has been reduced from June 22. Read More…
