In an apparent attempt to beef up security, the high level committee on improving the safety, security and convenience of Railway passengers on Monday decided to install as many as 218 CCTV cameras in the three main railway stations in the city.
The committee held its meeting under the chairmanship of Additional Director General of Police (Railways and Road Safety), T Krishna Prasad at Rail Nilayam in the city. The committee discussed various issues like security and easing of congestion at Railway stations in view of the growth in passenger traffic. Read More…
