India’s National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) currently has 433 MW of solar PV power plant projects under implementation, which are expected to be completed in Q4 of 2017 or Q1 of 2018.
The projects are based in three different states: 50 MW at Anantpur in Andhra Pradesh; 260 MW at Bhadla in Rajasthan, and 133 MW at Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh.
In NTPC’s endeavor to reach the milestone of 1,000 MW of renewable energy capacity by the end of 2017, the corporation has already commissioned 845 MW solar PV projects. Therefore, commissioning half of its projects by 2017 will achieve this bold renewable resources target. Read More…
