India has become the 71st country to ratify the United Nations International Convention on Road Transport also known as TIR convention. The agreement is a multilateral treaty to boost International Transport of Goods. The TIR convention is expected to boost trade and regional integration across South Asia and beyond. This will fast-track the region’s potential to become a strategic trade hub.
The ratification is a part of India’s multi-modal transport strategy that aims to integrate the economy with global and regional production networks through better connectivity. A report: Read More…
