Nitin Gadkari hails Narendra Modi, says Rs 1.5 lakh crore will be invested in Assam’s roadways and inland waterways

Union minister Nitin Gadkari addressing a gathering after Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated India’s longest, Dhola-Sadiya bridge in Assam, praised the premier for taking initiatives to develop North-East India. He assured the people of Assam that development of North Eastern states is the priority of the government and will soon bring inland waterways infrastructure to the state and added that the Brahmaputra can be used to improve waterways in the state in many ways. He revealed that investment of 1.5 lakh crore in Assam in roadways and inland waterways is being made while mentioning that the government is also putting up floating terminals in 15 places.
