The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB), which was entrusted with the task of finding a candidate for the chairman’s post at Coal India Ltd (CIL), has not been able to find any candidate suitable for the post.
According to Coal India executives, this is the first time that the board has not been able to finalise a candidate for the post of Coal India chairman following an interview.
Following an interview of six candidates, four from Coal India group companies and two from other public sector entities, on Friday, the Board said that it could not find any candidate suitable for the post. It has now recommended that the government may chose an appropriate course of further action for the selection. Read More…
