Petya Ransomware hits India’s Jawaharlal Nehru Port, operations suspended

All operations at the Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNPT) were suspended on Wednesday after reports of the `Petya` Ransomware infecting India`s largest container port emerged.

The `Petya` ransomware has caused disruption at firms across the US and Europe including advertising giant WPP, French construction materials company Saint-Gobain and Russian steel and oil firms Evraz and Rosneft.

The food giant Mondelez, legal firm DLA Piper, Danish shipping and transport giant AP Moller-Maersk and Heritage Valley Health System, which runs hospitals and care facilities in Pittsburgh, also said their systems had been hit by the malware. Read More…
