President Pranab Mukherjee inaugurated ‘Namma Metro’ Phase I on the Green Line between Mantri Squre and Yelachenahalli at Vidhana Soudha here today. Speaking after the inauguration, the President said that the Bengaluru had a tradition and people were cultured and the growing metropolis needed a fast transport system like ‘Namma Metro’. “Today it has became a reality.
I am very happy for the denezins of Bengaluru who are known for their hospitality, decency and metopolitan personality.” He said that the people of the city deserved better living condition as they are hard working and are contributing to the country’s economy.
