Putrajaya offered RM6.6b deal to revamp Indian train stations

Putrajaya will reportedly be offered a partnership to redevelop at least 20 Indian train stations across the country in a deal that could see a total investment worth around 10,000 crore Indian rupees (RM6.6 billion).

According to Times of India, Indian Railways will offer the Malaysian government a direct partnership to redevelop train stations in 20 Tier-II cities in the country, which will involve infrastructure revamp at platforms and circulating areas.

The whole redevelopment project across the entire nation, including other stations earmarked for redevelopment, could be worth more than 1 lakh crore rupees in private investment. Read More…
