Railway stations to soon have Jan Aushadhi centres to provide generic drugs

The Indian Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu on Tuesday said that an in-principle decision has been taken to open Jan Aushadhi Kendras at railway stations and other railway establishments to provide affordable and quality generic drugs to people.

Prabhu’s statement came after a meeting with the Minister for Chemicals & Fertilizers and Parliamentary Affairs, Ananthkumar for the opening of Janaushadhi Kendras.

The rail minister assured full support of the railways to the PMBJP (Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana) scheme. Read more
