Union home minister Rajnath Singh once again invoked former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, konwn among BJP circles as his mentor, and said that he wishes to dedicate Lucknow Metro project to him.
Reminiscing former PM’s urge to ease traffic congestion in Lucknow, Rajnath said that when he was surface transport minister, the former directed him to get Shaheed Path constructed. Had Shaheed Path not been constructed, the people commuting in the city would have faced heavy traffic congestion, he said.
If the former PM gave Shaheed Path to the people of Lucknow, he after becoming the MP had promised an outer ring road which would be 104 km long. “I am happy to announce that the work on the project has begun and the same is expected to be completed in three years of time,” Rajnath said. Read More…
