Karnal: Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Arvind Sawant has inaugurated an electric vehicle charging station at a resort on the NH-44 here. It has a capacity to charge six vehicles at a time. The station is powered with a solar-powered charger. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to make the country pollution-free. Keeping this in mind, electric vehicle charging stations have been opened in Karnal, Ambala, Pipli, Panipat, Samalkha and Rai on the Delhi-Ambala National Highway-44,” the minister said, adding the novel initiative had found support from the Haryana Government.
Donating blood is in the family
Karnal: Haryana Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya honoured Ashok Kumar Verma and his daughter Priyanka at Raj Bhawan, Chandigarh, for donating blood several times in 2017-18. They got a shield and a gold medal. Verma donated blood more than 125 times and platelets 54 times for dengue patients. He has been serving in the Police Department since 1998. Read More
