A major road project to decongest the entire central Delhi area including the busy ITO intersection has hit an apparent railblock.
The railways and other land-owning agencies have denied permission to the Delhi government for constructing the elevated east-west corridor that would have connected Anand Vihar to Punjabi Bagh. Officials said a team of experts submitted a negative feasibility report, saying the project was “unworkable” because of “multiplicity of authorities” and should be scrapped. Read More…
