Talking climate change in India

For a variety of reasons, the issue of climate change has been discussed more in the global north than in the global south. As such, many of the communication tactics used by campaigners trying to engage with wider populations in developing countries are limited in its effectiveness.

To deal with this gap in knowledge, Climate Outreach, a European climate change communication organisation, partnered with two NGO coalitions: Climate Action Network International (CAN) – a network of over 1,200 NGOs working in more than 120 countries, and Climate Action Network South Asia (CANSA) – a coalition of over 160 civil society organisations from eight South Asian countries, to organise communication workshops in India.
