Seeking to curb pollution in the national capital, municipal authorities in south Delhi have proposed to build three CNG-based crematoria in the area.
The three CNG-based cremation grounds are to be set up at Subhash Nagar, Dwarka sector IV and Green Park Extension.
“In view of the rising pollution in the city, three CNG-based cremation grounds have been proposed this year. Work on Subhash Nagar facility is expected to begin this year.
“For the rest two palaces, financial and administrative nods have been given and tendering work will be finished by this year,” South Delhi Municipal Commissioner Puneet Kumar Goel said today.
Thirty-two Mokshda green pyres for cremation have also been proposed to be built, he said. Read More…
